Course Overview

Duration of the program: The total duration of the program is 2.5 days (21 hours). 21 hours’ theoretical education will be done.  At the end of the program, participants who successfully complete the program receive 21 ANCC credits.

Number of participants: 30 (Maximum per group)

Language of Instruction: English (translators can be arranged to other languages)

Trainers: In this program, nurses working in the field of palliative care, relevant teaching members and doctors related to the subject are in charge.

Aim of the Course

The aim of this program is to provide nurses with chronic illnesses with knowledge, skills and attitudes related to chronic wound management.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES 

Participant who has successfully completed the program:

Know the purpose of palliative care, philosophy and principles.

Know the roles and responsibilities of the palliative care nurse.

Know the roles and responsibilities of the palliative care team.

Identify the palliative care needs of the patient and his / her family

Able to plan nursing interventions for pain and other symptoms in patients with palliative care

Able to have good communication skills with patient and his/her family

Able to plan the care of a dying patient and his/her family

Able to plan the care of a family during the mourning process
